As an artist & writer, the two aspects of my work often converge. My autofiction, Memory Art, includes images of soft sculpture that inform each chapter. My novel-in-progress, Art the Book, is about a disruption artist whose social practice is crucial to the narrative. Highku is my interpretation of the ancient Japanese art of haiga, which combines haiku, calligraphy and painting. The union of words and images feels apt to me in our age of morph, as modes of communication blur & blend in the internet sausage.
